The Empress cocktail is made from Empress 1908 Gin, St Germaine, and Tonic. It is a fantastic cocktail that is colorful and lively. This is a great cocktail to serve in the spring and summer with Empress Gin. I love this gin not only because it is delicious and great for mixing cocktails, but it is made with magical pea flowers, giving it a distinctive deep purple color that changes to pink if you add an acid. The Elderflower liqueur adds a nice floral note to this lovely bright cocktail. This colorful take on a gin and tonic is the perfect refreshing cocktail for this spring.
The Canadian-distilled Empress 1908 Gin can now be found across most of the US and is a fantastic gin for adding some pizazz to your cocktails. I posted a couple of years ago about using it in a Lumière that, with the added lime juice, made a fabulous pink cocktail that I still serve the most at parties. But this year, Empress 1908 Gin is becoming the choice for dazzling cocktails across social media. So, what better way than to use it in a gin and tonic? I have these long ice cube trays that are perfect for a highball glass. But this cocktail is great in many different glasses, including wine glasses that make this cocktail look elegant.
It can really be a showstopper and a fun way to have a cocktail. The purple color is simply stunning and makes a real showstopper of a cocktail. I garnished it simply with a lime slice and some juniper berries. Let the color be the star of the cocktail, not the garnish.
Ok, that is all for this week. Have some friends over and wow them with the Empress Cocktail. It will make your gathering fun. Please think of others in your choices. What you do matters to others, and we all have to work together to navigate through all the craziness of today’s world. Until next time!
