Koreran Tartar sauce in dish

Korean Tarter Sauce

Adding gochujang is a fresh and new way to zip up tartar sauce. Gochujang is full of umami flavor and so very tasty.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup chopped sweet gherkins
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. in a small bowl mix together all the ingredients.
  2. If you have time let sit for a couple of hours or overnight in the fridge to blend the flavors. But not necessary.

Recipe Notes

You can add more gochujang if you want it to be hotter.
