Satan’s Whiskers is a spooky Prohibition-era cocktail that is absolutely tempting. With gin, orange, and 2 vermouths, this is one devilish cocktail.

Ingredients

  • ¾ ounce orange juice freshly squeezed
  • ¾ ounce dry gin such as Spring44, The Botanist, or Plymouth
  • ¾ ounce dry vermouth
  • ¾ ounce sweet vermouth
  • ½ ounce orange liqueur Grand Marnier or Curacao
  • 2 dashes orange bitters
  • Orange peel for garnish optional

Instructions

  1. Chill a martini coupe glass by either filling it with ice or placing it in the fridge.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine the orange juice, gin, dry vermouth, sweet vermouth, orange liquor (for the straight version, use Grand Marnier, for the curled version, use Curacao) add the 2 dashes of orange bitters.
  3. Fill the shaker with ice and cover.
  4. Shake until very cold, 10-20 seconds.
  5. Double strain into the chilled cocktail glass and serve with the optional orange peel.
