128 ozcan of good Italian San Marzano peeled tomatoes
1tablespoonolive oil
1teaspoondried oregano
1teaspoondried basil
1teaspoononion powder
1teaspoonsalt
½teaspoonground black pepper
Instructions
Place the garlic cloves in the bottom of a blender, followed by the remaining ingredients, or you can use a food processor, being careful not to fill above the liquid line.
Blend until no chunks remain, about 30-45 seconds. Try not to over-process, as it will blend in the seeds imparting a more bitter taste.
Recipe Notes
I like to let it sit for an hour to help the spices bloom in the sauce.
