Preheat oven to 400°

Position a rack 4-5 inches from the broiler.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy clean-up.

Put the salmon fillets on the baking sheet skin side down. Lightly brush with oil and season with salt and pepper.

Let bake for 8 minutes.

While the salmon is baking, combine all the ingredients for the gochujang glaze in a small bowl.

Remove the salmon from the oven.

Turn the oven to broil.

Brush the salmon fillets heavily with the glaze.

Broil for 5-8 minutes or until the desired doneness. The glaze should be bubbling and beginning to brown on the edges. You can check for doneness with a fork. It is better to err on the undercooked side, as the fish will continue to cook for a bit after you take it out of the oven.

Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve with white rice if desired.
