Korean BBQ Snack Mix

Ingredients

Cereal mixture, 9 cups total can be any combination or use Crispix

  • 3 cups Corn Chex
  • 3 cups Rice Chex
  • 3 cups Wheat Chex

The rest of the mix

  • 2 cups mixed nuts

  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 tablespoons Gochujang, Korean chili paste It can be foud online of gormet grocery stores
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds, white, black or a combination
  • 1 cup pretzel goldfish
  • 1 cup honey roasted peanuts
  • 1 cup sesame sticks

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 250°. 

  2. In a large rimmed sheet pan mix together the cereals and the mixed nuts.

  3. In a small sauce pan melt the butter and add the brown sugar Worcestershire sauce, Gochujang, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and sesame seeds.

  4. Allow the mixture to bubble for a minute or so to dissolve the sugar.

  5. Pour over the cereal, and using a spatula, mix thoroughly. 

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 ½ hours, stirring thoroughly every 15 minutes or until the snack mix is dry and lightly toasted. 

  7. Remove the snack mix from the oven and stir in the pretzel goldfish, peanuts and the sesame sticks.

  8. Allow to cool completely.

  9. If stored in an airtight jar or plastic bags, this will last for several months.
